Timothy Koehler
From his childhood, Tim Koehler started his love affair with the guitar. A graduate of the Kent State School of Music (with an emphasis on classical guitar), he worked with acclaimed instructors George Bachmann, Chas Baker and Kazadi Wa Makuna and – in the Kent Chorale – with Dr. C.M. Shearer. He has performed as a guitarist in the pit orchestra in productions of Grease, Hair, Anything Goes and Cabaret. Koehler, who has worked as a guitar instructor, is a veteran of many Northeast Ohio rock bands, most notable Sugarcane. His current band is WigWag, and Koehler also plays out solo and in a duo format. He is looking forward to sharing both classical and electric arrangements of Fab Four tunes at this year’s Kent BeatleFest.
